The women's riding scene is thriving here in New Zealand, creating an exciting and unique time to be part of the action. Last year, I found immense inspiration witnessing numerous women embracing riding through group rides, Women's Ride Wednesdays at our local bike park, Bike Glendhu, and involvement in local coaching programs. This is where the idea of Rocky Mountain Ride Camp was born—an initiative aimed at providing a dedicated space for women to spend a weekend improving their riding skills, building confidence, fostering new friendships, connections, and, of course, reveling in the joy of riding together.

The overwhelming response and interest when we introduced this camp exceeded expectations, and seeing it all come to fruition was truly remarkable. Held at Bike Glendhu, renowned for its world-class trails and fantastic base area, our camp was blessed with ideal weather, positive vibes, and genuine enthusiasm from the ladies as we explored new skills throughout the weekend. A special shoutout to Robin Pieper and Jill Richardson, integral members of the coaching team, and heartfelt gratitude to our sponsors for contributing spot prizes and supporting our après-bike activities each day.

Collaborating with Rocky Mountain has been an incredible experience, and their sponsorship has played a vital role in the success of these camps. The plan is to continue this momentum by hosting these events every summer in New Zealand. Speaking of which, our next one is set for February 2024! If you're in New Zealand, we'd love to have you join us. Alternatively, follow us on social media to see what all the buzz is about!
