  • Role Title: Technical Representative – Eastern Canada
    Under the supervision of: Marketing Director
    Home base: Rocky Mountain head quarter – Saint-Georges, Québec

    Role Description

    • Provide technical & branding support for Rocky Mountain throughout Eastern Canada (ON, QC, ATLANTIC)
    • Develop and maintain on-going demo and events calendar
    • Execute demo and events calendar including consumer events, demo tour, sales events, product knowledge, and information sessions with dealers and consumers (including land access permits)
    • Manage needs & logistics for demo and events
    • Manage and maintain demo vehicle, including regular service, safety and storage
    • Identify and order necessary demo bicycles, samples, supplies, promotional items and tools
    • Assemble, maintain and sell-off demo fleet each season
    • Work with Sales and Marketing to establish consistent demo format
    • Collaborate and support the creation of seasonal product knowledge format and tools
    • Host and organize regional dealer PK/Clinic tour
    • Attend trade and consumer events, as needed, to promote new and existing product
    • Stay current with competitor landscape, product and trends
    • Share regular feedback with product development, sales and marketing
    • Provide support to elevated warranty or technical related issues in the field including; troubleshooting, documenting, ensuring solution and execution for outcome
    • Support annual budget process and operate within set budgets
    • Take responsibility for the care and regular maintenance for all company tools utilized for position, including, but not limited to, vehicles, samples and event materials
    • Manage and maintain demo and events calendar on bikes.com
    • Arrange and maintain travel calendar/schedule and all logistics including driving, flights, hotels, expense reports, all travel related details
    • Liaise between dealers, warranty and customer service departments

    Required qualifications

    • You love to ride
    • 5+ years in bicycle retail or bicycle mechanics
    • 1+ years in a position requiring extensive travel
    • Ability to work weekends (most weekends during peak season – May-Sept)
    • Ability to travel up to 80%
    • Ability to travel in the US and Canada
    • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record & ability to drive 5+ hours
    • Superior customer service skills
    • Excellent communication skills – fluent in English/French
    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint

    Some preference

    • Strong understanding of bicycle retail
    • Ability to work independently to achieve necessary, on time results
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, oral and written
    • Comfortable presenting technical information to groups of people
    • Heavy lifting (80lbs) required

  • Position: Commercial Coordinator
    Reports to: Chief Commercial Officer
    Location: Rocky Mountain head office – Saint-Georges, Beauce, Quebec

    Description of the position by main areas of responsibility

    Commercial administration

    • Provide administrative support to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)
    • Plan, coordinate and update sales & marketing and commercial meeting files
    • Plan, coordinate and update the Annual Commercial Calendar (sales & marketing)
    • Coordinate and provide administrative support for sales programs, price lists, the MAP sales policy and promotions for dealers in all markets
    • Participate in sales and operations planning (S&OP) and communicate meeting information to the commercial department’s various teams
    • Manage information sharing between sales teams and other departments
    • Coordinate the commercial department’s internal and external communications
    • Coordinate administrative tasks related to the implementation and maintenance of the CRM feed and the B2B platform for dealers
    • Manage the database of North American dealers and the integration of new clients
    • Keep the various sales territories maps up to date, in collaboration with the graphics department
    • Manage sales teams’ apparel needs
    • Collaborate with all commercial services managers and staff to develop and put in place exemplary business practices

    International sales support

    • Plan, coordinate and update annual agreements with international and European distributors in collaboration with the international sales team
    • Develop and manage sales packages for international and European distributors in collaboration with the international sales team
    • Manage corporate communications catered to international and European distributors in collaboration with the international sales team

    Marketing support

    • Support the organization of commercial events (sales and marketing meetings and technical clinics) at the head office (Saint-Georges)
    • Manage the head office showroom (Saint-Georges) in collaboration with the Canadian sales director
    • Support the creation of sales catalogs for dealers
    • Manage the process of acquiring sales tools and distributing them to sales teams
    • Coordinate the internal product launch process
    • Manage the translation of commercial communications and documents

    Qualifications

    • College degree in a relevant field (marketing, administration)
    • Five to seven years of experience
    • Fluent in French and English – oral and written
    • Intermediate-advanced knowledge of MS Office products, knowledge of the 365 environment is an asset
    • Proficiency with the management of CRM software and B2B purchasing platforms
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Organized and rigorous, with an ability to prioritize and follow up to meet tight deadlines
    • Independence, professionalism and a sharp sense of ethics
    • Ability to collaborate across various hierarchical levels
    • Passionate knowledge of the sports and cycling industry

  • Position: Accounting Technician
    Department: Finance
    Reports to: Controller
    Location: Rocky Mountain head office – Saint-Georges, Beauce, Quebec

    Description of position

    • Enter supplier invoices in the system and make payments
    • Support team members in other transactional work
    • Carry out balance sheet account reconciliations
    • Perform various financial analyses
    • Prepare and send monthly reports to internal teams and external partners
    • Participate in month-end bookkeeping and in preparing for the annual financial audit
    • Work on various finance department files/projects

    Qualifications

    • College degree in accounting or a related field
    • Minimum of two years of relevant experience
    • Good teamwork skills and ability to adapt to change
    • Rigour and commitment to quality work
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products (intermediate Excel skills)
    • Fluent in French and functional oral and written English
    • Comfortable with integrated software packages (Microsoft Dynamics NAV an asset)

  • Position: Mechatronics Technician
    Reports to: Director, Electric R&D
    Location: Rocky Mountain head office – Saint-Georges, Beauce, Quebec

    Responsibilities

    • As an R&D team member, liaise between the mechanical and electric teams
    • Participate in electric bike development and design projects
    • Create and maintain technical drawings and work instructions
    • Follow up with local and international suppliers
    • Participate in prototype tests

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of three to five years of experience
    • Proficiency with computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software (especially Creo)
    • Ability to build prototypes and test set-ups
    • Excellent knowledge of quality standards
    • Laboratory techniques
    • Focus on teamwork (remote and bilingual teams)
    • Solid knowledge of technical English
    • Creative problem solving skills
    • Ability to prioritize and carry out urgent tasks to meet tight deadlines
    • Hold a valid passport and be available for occasional travel (Vancouver and Asia)

    Job Title: Field Technical Specialist – Europe

    Reports to: Director of Quality Management

    Location: Europe

     

     

    Duties and Responsibilities

     

    • Provide technical and branding support for Rocky Mountain Bicycles throughout Europe
    • Host and organize regional Dealer Product Knowledge/Clinic tours
    • Collaborate on and support the creation of seasonal product knowledge presentation formats and tools
    • Participate in maintaining content on the e-learning/training platform, from a technical standpoint based on market needs (continuous support to e-learning/training platform team)
    • Identify and order the necessary material to provide training
    • Manage and maintain dealer certification through our e-learning/training platform
    • Work with Sales, Marketing and Product teams to establish consistent training format
    • Work closely with Customer Service team members to ensure a unified effort in supporting dealers
    • Attend trade and consumer events, as needed, to promote new and existing products
    • Stay current with the competitor landscape, products and trends
    • Share regular feedback with Product Development, Sales and Marketing though weekly meetings and written reports (CRM feed)
    • Provide field support for elevated warranty-related or technical issues, including troubleshooting, documenting, ensuring solutions and executing for outcome
    • Support the annual budget process and operate within set budget(s)
    • Take responsibility for the care and regular maintenance of all company tools utilized for positioning, including, but not limited to, samples and materials
    • Arrange and maintain travel calendar/schedule and all logistics including driving, flights, hotels, expense reports, and all travel-related details
    • Liaise between dealers and the Warranty and Customer Service departments
    • Provide product feedback to the Product team when and in the format requested
    • Be in direct contact with our International Sales Director, providing product intelligence and market feedback

     

    Minimum Qualifications

     

    • A love of riding
    • 5+ years in bicycle retail or bicycle mechanics
    • 1+ years in a position requiring extensive travel
    • Ability to work weekends
    • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time
    • Ability to travel within Europe (Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy, UK)
    • Valid passport
    • Clean driving record
    • Superior customer service approach
    • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint
    • Fluent in German, English and French, oral and written

     

    Requirements

     

    • Background in bicycle mechanics and sales
    • Ability to build and maintain ongoing relationships with customers
