Geometry Descriptions Gideline :

1. Head Angle:The angle at which the Head Tube is oriented in relationship to the ground.
2. Seat Angle: The angle at which the Seat Tube is oriented in relationship to the ground.
3. Horizontal Top Tube Length: The distance from the centre of the top of the Head Tube projected horizontally to the intersection where it meets the Seat Tube axis.
4. Head Tube Length: The length of the Head Tube.
5. Chainstay Length: The distance from the centre of the Bottom Bracket to the center of the rear dropout.
6. Bottom Bracket Drop: The vertical distance from the Bottom Bracket centerline to the wheel axle plane. For some bikes this is a negative number indicating a Bottom Bracket Rise.
7. Standover Height: Distance from the top edge of the Top Tube to the ground measured at approximately the midpoint of the Horizontal Top Tube Length distance.
8. Front-Center: The shortest distance between the front axle and the Bottom Bracket centerline. Note this distance is not measured parallel to the ground, but rather is the straight-line distance between these two points.
9. Wheelbase: The distance from the rear axle to the front axle. The line formed by the joining of these two points serves as a basis of measurement for the Head and Seat Tube angles.
10. Seat tube Length (or frame size): The lenght between the centre of the bottom bracket and the top of the seat tube.

Frame may differt from real one. Use for reference only.

FORM

The heart of a bike is its frame. The geometry, the material, the feel, and the way it reacts under the rider are the very essence of the ride. That’s why we’ve introduced FORM™ – the design and manufacturing process of our high-performance frame tubing. Our philosophy behind FORM™ tubing is to push the limits of tube and frame design to create the frame’s unique riding feel.

Engineered Ride Quality: FORM™ tubing is a line of high-performance tubes designed to elevate the superior ride quality for which Rocky Mountain Bicycles are known. Innovative design: With 25 years of innovation, we continue to push the boundaries of bicycle design. FORM™ tubing is the exciting new frontier of our creativity.

Attention to detail: Every detail in a FORM™ tube set is carefully engineered and has a purpose: from the slightest variations in shape, to wall thickness, tapers, flares and bends.

Uncompromised quality: FORM™ tube sets are manufactured with premium materials and delivered by the best suppliers in the industry to meet Rocky Mountain’s strict requirements.

LC2R

The Low Centre Counter Rotating - LC2R - patented suspension is a laterally stiff design that offers a highly predictable ride in all conditions. Its low sprung weight and concentrated suspension mass allow the LC2R suspension to respond faster to ground forces, such as stutter bumps, and keep the rear wheel glued to the ground during acceleration.

LC2R suspension is a single pivot design, with the main pivot located just above and behind the bottom bracket. Both chain and brake forces are concentric to this pivot through-out the suspension travel, which eliminates pedal “bob” and brake jack. A thrust/ tug link engages the top link to create a rising rate suspension and the much-sought-after “infinite travel” feel. We tune LC2R to create an optimal suspension rate for different types of riding – from super cross country to Freeride and to downhill.

    Ride Guide

  • Super XC / 100%
  • All-mountain / 85%
• LC2R suspension rate is tuned for Super Cross Country riding • Single pivot design makes pedaling more efficient and suspension feel consistent. • Compact LC2R suspension design eases the ride over stutter bumps, roots, and rough terrain. • Low centre of gravity makes the bike maneuverable, stable, and quick handling. • Counter rotating top link creates a laterally stiff rear end of the bike for a predictable ride in all conditions.
