On November 9th, was held, at Mont Ste-Anne, the “Mérite du cyclisme québécois et du Temple de la renommée du cyclisme québécois ». Several hopefuls, athletes, volunteers, coaches, commissioners, clubs and organizations were recognized for their contribution in developing the sport of cycling.

We want to show recognition to two recipients of prestigious awards in the categories of best female and male athlete. Marie-Hélène Prémont, with her performance throughout the season on the World Cup circuit, was crowned champion of the season with cumulative points. Raphaël Gagné, with a seventh place at the World Championships, 20th in the stage of the World Cup at Mont St-Anne and with exceptional results at the Canadian Championships and hope among older elites received the title of Male Athlete by excellence.

Marie-Hélène also received an award of distinction as the cumulative points winning the World Cup Mountain Bike Cross Country.

Finally, the Rocky Mountain Bicycles team got recognition as a high performance club. Our team of Canadian and European athletes is one of the only Canadian clubs to evolve in the three disciplines of the World Cup( 4cross, downhill, cross-country ). The support and guidance that we provide our athletes has enabled us to receive this great distinction.

Thanks to everyone who contributes to our success.
